I am thrilled to be a part of the Polaris Community. With over twenty years in education, gifted education has always been a focus of mine. In addition to my professional experiences in gifted education, I’m the proud parent of two gifted adults and I serve on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Association of Gifted and Talented. When I am not at school, you can find me romping with my two labradoodles, hiking with my husband, or gardening. I also love to play scrabble, dominoes, and card games!

Ana Orozco, Secretary
I am excited to be a secretary here at Polaris. I am also a proud parent of a current Polaris student. This is my 10th year working for Denver Public Schools, and I am a DPS alumna. Prior to joining the Polaris team, I was the lead secretary at North High School. Currently, I am pursing a Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State University in Elementary Education, so one day I can be a teacher. When I am not working or studying I enjoy spending time with my daughter, swimming and playing billiards.

Pamela Wall, Secretary
I work as a secretary in the Polaris office. I am a Colorado native and I live in the mountains. Before working at Polaris Elementary, I was a paraprofessional at Denison Montessori for 10 years. Prior to working for DPS, I worked at a large insurance company where I held many different positions. I have two lovely daughters who are completing courses at a community college. I was only going to work at Polaris for just a few years, but fell in love with the staff, and the Polaris families and decided to stay. My hobbies outside of Polaris are painting and making jewelry.

Natasha Bluhm, Nurse
This is my first year working at Polaris, though I have been a school nurse in the past. My background includes Med/Surg, Inpatient Psych, Adolescent Psych, School nursing, Home Health, Department of Corrections and multiple travel assignments. Ask about my travel assignments in Alaska! In my free time I enjoy spending time hiking, walking and water sports. My two boys, ages 11 and 13, keep me busy with many activities. My husband is a high school Physics teacher. We just celebrated 16 years together. And finally our Catahoula rescue dog is adored by us all. I hope this year to keep the kids in Polaris healthy and strong and ready to learn. Cheers!
