Many Polaris family members play an active role in the school experience by volunteering in the classroom, organizing events, and serving on committees. If you don’t see something listed here that fits your interests or schedule, please reach out to the Polaris Vice Chair at polarisPTOvicechair@gmail.com to see how else you might be able to help out!

Information for Current or Prospective Volunteers
Volunteer Application and Background Check
In order to ensure our students’ safety, prior to certain types of volunteering, school volunteers must complete a DPS Volunteer Application/Background Check form. This application is required if you plan to:
- Volunteer in the classroom more than five times per year
- Chaperone a field trip, or
- Lead a before or after school enrichment.
You can download an application here, or grab one in the Polaris main office. School volunteer background checks are good for three years. If you have completed the application in the past but are unsure if you’re current, please email the Polaris Vice Chair at polarisPTOvicechair@gmail.com, or call the Polaris office at 720-424-7860.
