The purpose of the Polaris Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to help Polaris students thrive and excel through family involvement, staff support, community collaboration and fundraising. The Polaris PTO, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation. The tax ID number is 27-0042254.
Polaris PTO membership includes of EVERY adult member of the Polaris community (all parents/guardians of Polaris students and all Polaris staff). There are no membership fees. The officers and committee chairs serve to help organize the combined efforts of the entire community.
Some examples of what the PTO helps organize and support throughout the year include:
- Summer gatherings and outreach to new parents
- Jogathon, an annual student fundraiser
- Communication through Room Parents, ePosts, and the school website
- School Directory
- Volunteer support for Electives Program
- The Auction, an annual fundraising/social event
- Spring Showcase

PTO meetings are generally held the first Monday of the month unless there is a holiday or school-related conflict. Check the Polaris calendar for current dates. All meetings are held in the school library, from 6pm-7:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and childcare is provided in the gym.
