Dear Polaris Families,
As you may be aware, we have been using a variety of measures to ensure our school stays open and our students feel comfortable during extremely hot days. Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of students and staff.
I am writing to let you know that we will have an early-release Heat Day tomorrow, September 1, 2023. We will dismiss from school at 12:30.
If your student rides a bus, transportation will pick up from the school at 12:30.
I understand this is short notice, an inconvenience for many of our families, and that childcare may be an issue for some. I am available to answer questions you may have regarding the early-release Heat Day.
Please note that we will still serve lunch before students depart tomorrow.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school, and I very much appreciate your patience as we successfully navigate through the first weeks of the school year.

Estimadas familias de Polaris:
Como ya deben saber, hemos implementado varias medidas para asegurarnos de que
nuestra escuela permanezca abierta y nuestros estudiantes se sientan cómodos
durante los días de sumo calor. Nuestra primera prioridad es la seguridad y el
bienestar de los estudiantes y del personal escolar.
Les escribo para informarles que mañana, September 1, 2023, saldremos temprano con motivo
del calor. La hora de salida será a la(s) 12:30.
Si su estudiante viene en autobús escolar, el transporte lo recogerá en la escuela a
la(s) 12:30.
Entiendo que este aviso se ha hecho con poca antelación y sea un inconveniente para
muchas de nuestras familias, y que el cuidado infantil pueda ser un problema para
algunos. Estoy a su disposición para responder las preguntas que tengan sobre
nuestra salida temprana con motivo del calor.
Como siempre, agradezco su apoyo continuo a nuestra escuela y aprecio mucho
su paciencia a medida que nos desenvolvemos con éxito durante las primeras
semanas del año escolar.
